Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how "Orlian", "we", "us", "our" collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit orlian.ai (the "Website"), book a demo, or otherwise contact us. Orlian is an AI-driven software delivery platform built and operated by Focaloid Technologies Private Limited ("Focaloid").

This policy covers the Website only. If your organisation uses the Orlian platform under a client agreement, the data processing terms in that agreement govern project data, code and systems you share with us.

By using the Website, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you book a demo, fill in a contact form or email hello@orlian.ai, we collect your name, work email, phone number, company, job title, and anything you choose to tell us about your project or the system you want to build or rebuild.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Website, we collect device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, time on page and approximate location. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).

Business information. If you become a prospect or client, we may hold information about your organisation, such as company size, industry, technology stack and project requirements.

We do not ask for sensitive personal data through the Website. Please don't send us passwords, financial account details, health data or similar information through our forms. Where Indian law applies, any sensitive personal data or information is handled under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • respond to enquiries and schedule and run demos;
  • understand your project and prepare relevant proposals;
  • send product updates, insights and event invitations, where you have agreed or where the law allows;
  • operate, secure and improve the Website and understand how visitors use it;
  • detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents;
  • meet our legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.

Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we rely on these legal bases: your consent (for example, marketing emails and non-essential cookies); steps you ask us to take before entering a contract (for example, a demo or proposal); our legitimate interests in running and growing our business, balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.

3. How We Protect Your Information

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration. These include encryption in transit, firewalls, secure servers, access controls on a need-to-know basis, and security practices aligned with our ISO/IEC 27001:2022-certified information security management system.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

  • Within our group: with Focaloid entities that help deliver Orlian, under the same protections described here;
  • With service providers: who host the Website, run forms, scheduling, email, CRM and analytics on our behalf, under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for our instructions;
  • For legal reasons: when required by law, court order or a government authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Orlian, our clients or others;
  • In a business transfer: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy's protections.

International transfers. We operate in India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe, so your information may be processed outside your country. Where the EU or UK GDPR applies, we use appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Website work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. These include:

  • Strictly necessary cookies, needed for the Website to function;
  • Analytics cookies, which help us measure traffic and improve content;
  • Marketing cookies, which help us measure campaigns and personalise content and advertising.

Where required, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can manage or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Website works.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing;
  • opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email.

To exercise these rights, email hello@orlian.ai. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Retention. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law. We review the information we hold periodically, and delete or anonymise data that is no longer needed, including enquiry and demo data that does not lead to an engagement.

The Website may link to third-party websites, such as GitHub, Jira or social media pages. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their privacy policies before sharing information with them.

8. Children's Privacy

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, give notice on the Website. Continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
